MONTHLY NEWSLETTER MAY 2015

SOCIETY NEWS

A group of society members attended a street party at the Newham Bookshop last Friday to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VE day; despite the drizzle we all had a great time.

The Society had a stall at the Chadwell Heath History Fair on Saturday 18th April – we had a steady stream of visitors and a number of enquiries to be followed up. My thanks  go to Pat Manley and Richard Chapman for their help on the day.

There are still a few seats left for Tiptree Jam Museum and Ingatestone Hall on 7th June and Bletchley Park on 6 h  September. We are also taking  bookings for Kentwell at Christmas on Sunday 13th December. Please telephone Richard Chapman on 01708 867500  for further information or to book.

Our final meeting of the season is on Monday 1st June when Linda Rhodes will give a talk on Ghosts and graves of Barking and Dagenham.
