SOCIETY NEWS


Our final meeting of the season is on Monday 2nd June when Lois Amos gives an illustrated talk on Bedford’s Park.

We still have seats available for the Colchester Military Festival on Sunday 6th July and the St. Albans Cathedral Flower Festival on Sunday 28th  September. The trip to Bury St. Edmunds Christmas Fair on Sunday 30 th November is now FULL!

Saturday 24th May. Essex Archaeological and Historical Congress AGM at St.Margaret’s Church Hall, Barking. 10am – 2pm. Includes talk at 11.45 Ilford remains to be seen by  Frank Turvey. Free. Please let me know if you wish to attend.

The ArcelorMittal Orbit tower in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is now open. Residents of Barking and Dagenham receive £2 off the standard ticket on production of photo ID and proof of address.
