80th Anniversary Talk and Cake
Monday 3rd November 2014
Mr Keith Glenny kindly delivered a talk on the Glennys of Barking to the Society. For those who missed the talk, Keith revealed that the Australian branch of the Glenny family includes actress Nicole Kidman. His uncle Kenneth was president of our society from 1958-
Keith was invited to cut the celebration cake featuring our founder Stephen Jewers (Stephen went into partnership with the Glenny family after he retired from Barking Council).
Syvia Kent was also present signing copies of her new book Barking and Dagenham from old photographs.
